Yearly Bingo

Life bingo

Life bingo turns a bucket list into something you can finish.

A bucket list is easy to write and hard to act on, because nothing on it has a deadline or a board to live on. Life bingo puts the same dreams onto a 5 by 5 grid, so every square is something you can actually start, finish, and check off.

What is life bingo?

Life bingo is a bucket-list-style bingo board: 25 squares of things you want to do, see, build, or become at some point in life, not tied to a single calendar year. Where a yearly bingo sheet tracks the next twelve months, a life bingo board can hold the bigger, slower goals that take years to reach - and still gives each one a finish line.

Travel and adventure

  • Visit a place you have always wanted to see.
  • Take a trip alone.
  • See a specific natural wonder.
  • Go somewhere that doesn't speak your language.

Skills and creativity

  • Learn an instrument well enough to play one full song.
  • Write something you'd let someone else read.
  • Learn a language to a real conversation level.
  • Finish a creative project you've been putting off.

Relationships and memories

  • Reconnect with someone you've lost touch with.
  • Have a real conversation with a parent or grandparent.
  • Host the kind of gathering you talk about for years.
  • Tell someone what they meant to you while you still can.

Big dreams

  • Start the business or project you keep shelving.
  • Run a marathon, or your own version of one.
  • Buy or build something you've saved years for.
  • Do the thing you'd regret never trying.

How to build a life bingo board

  1. List dreams without worrying about timing yet.
  2. Turn each one into a square with a clear finish line.
  3. Mix near-term squares with multi-year ones so the board isn't all distant.
  4. Revisit the board every year and swap in new squares as old ones finish.
  5. Share progress when you want company on the bigger goals.
